Baja Ministry
Monthly Mission Trips
Each month we travel two hours to our ministry partners in Baja, Mexico to serve through prayer, friendship, construction, education, playing with children, providing groceries and listening to stories.
Our ministry partners are Siloe’ Ministries, Door of Faith Orphanage, and Strong Tower Ministries.
All ages are welcome to participate. This is an intergenerational ministry where people get to know one another through serving together. These short-term mission trips have helped inspire youth to make a difference both in Baja and our own community. These trips help us build community in Christ and help us live out the gospel.

A reflection from one of our high school youth…
Hello, my name is Owen Berg, and I was blessed to be a part of the summer trip to Baja, California. We stopped by Tijuana to give out bags of food to the less fortunate who lived in the heart of the city and then proceeded to spend two nights in the cabin of the Door of Faith orphanage as the days were filled with many laughs and fun memories. I must admit, before the COVID pandemic, our family planned on this trip to Baja, California, and I was a little skeptical. However, as I matured and grew closer to God, two years later, I found myself looking forward to the trip, and it failed to disappoint. As a privileged high schooler rooted in Southern California, I have had a blessed life, always having what I need to succeed. No matter how you grew up, the trip through Tijuana is a very humbling, eye-opening experience that made me even more appreciative of everything that was provided to me my whole life. Seeing families have extremely low wages, a scarcity of food with several children, and a house the size of my room, my perspective severely changed and made me a hundred times more grateful than I already was. Additionally, playing with the kids at Door of Faith was so pure and heartwarming. No matter who it was, the kids there were so thankful and filled with joy, yet they’ve had life astronomically more difficult than most kids in the United States. I learned the power and purpose of life, which is not to amass the most material items or have the most popularity. It is simply to enjoy fellowship with other children of God and share a laugh or conversation with someone because life is so short, and there is no room for selfishness and greed. As Christians, we are called to share God’s beautiful, unwavering love with other children of God and live out the Lord’s name in every way possible.
